Abraham Mitrie Rihbany

Born in Lebanon of Greek Orthodox parents, Abraham Dmitri (Mitrie) Rihbany attended a Presbyterian school in Souk El Gharb and converted to Protestantism. After his emigration to the United States he eventually wound up a Unitarian minister. He argued that his insights into 19th century Syrian culture shed light on the New Testament.

The Christ Story for Boys and Girls (1923)

The author reads the New Testament in view of his own life as a Palestinian Christian born in 1869. Adapted from his larger work The Syrian Christ. Read online at Hathitrust.
