Jeremiah Curtin

Born in Detroit and raised in Wisconsin, Jeremiah Curtin was a linguist and translator. He served in the United States Legation in St. Petersburg and, among others, translated Quo Vadis. He is particularly remembered for his collections of Irish folk tales.
