Bill Blackbeard

William Elsworth Blackbeard, better known as Bill Blackbeard, was a writer-editor and the founder-director of the San Francisco Academy of Comic Art.

Terry and the Pirates Color Sundays Volume 1 1934-1935 (1984)

This is the first volume of the Sunday strips in color in a reprinting of the adventure strip set in China. It stars Terry Lee - a “wide-awake American boy” - his friend journalist Pat Ryan and a large cast of friends and enemies. It was written and drawn by Milton Caniff from 1934 through 1946 when he left to write Steve Canyon.
