James Orchard Halliwell
(James Orchard Halliwell-Phillips)
(1820 - 1889)
James Orchard Halliwell was a British Shakespearian scholar, folklore collector, and all-around literary expert. He may have stolen a quarto Hamlet from his wife's father, prior to eloping with her. Which the father regretted the most is uncertain, but certain it is that he never allowed either his daughter or her husband in his presence again.
