Diana Ross

This British author and illustrator was born on Malta and christened aboard her father’s ship, the HMS Diana. After graduation from Cambridge, she spent time at the Grenfell Mission for Orphans in Labrador and later assisted Sir Wlfred with research for The Romance of Labrador, which she illustrated. She sometimes signed her illustrations Gri after her cat who would assist her. Her series of stories about The Little Red Engine was very popular.
