Jean Hersholt

Jean Pierre Hersholt was a Danish-born actor who starred in many American films. He was Shirley Temple’s grandfather in Heidi and had a long running radio show, Dr. Christian, which was directed by Ronald Reagan’s brother Neil. His was the first complete translation of Hans Christian Andersen into English.
