Edward George Earle Lytton Bulwer-Lytton

A very popular British Victorian novelist and politician. He served as secretary of state for the colonies under the Earl of Derby and his son was Governor-General and Viceroy of India. His dissolute life style resulted in his wife divorcing him and he dabbled in the occult.
