Ann Hark

Ann Amelia Hark was born in Lancaster County. She graduated from the Moravian seminary at nearly fourteen years of age, with the intention of writing poetry. She worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer and Ladies Home Journal and the Ledger. The she launched as an independent writer. She wrote a regular column in the Sunday supplement on notable women. And she published five books.
