Al Savitt

Al Savitt was born Alfred Savitz and grew up in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He early decided he would be an artist. After studies at the Pratt Institute he became a freelance artist, specializing in horses.

He took on the care of his agent Illiana in the mid 1960’s when she came down with Alzheimer’s disease. He succumbed to the same condition in his 80’s and was cared for by his nephew.
