Sarah Fielding

Sarah Fielding was an English author and translator. Her novels were among the earliest in the English language, and the first to examine the interior lives of women and children. She was a sister of Henry Fielding.


The Governess or, Little Female Academy (1749)

This was the first novel for children, a boarding school story. This facsimile edition was published in 1968.
