Val Schaffner

Val Schaffner was a writer and a columnist for The East Hampton Star. He married a woman from Seoul named Min-Myn. He is soft-spoken and thoughtful, articulate and unrushed. He wrote “Algonquin Cat,” a novella about a cat named Hamlet who hobnobs with literary and theatrical figures at the Algonquin Hotel in Manhattan.
