Meindert De Jong
(1906 - 1991)

Meindert De Jong (March 4, 1906 – July 16, 1991), sometimes spelled de Jong, or DeJong or Dejong was a Dutch-born American writer of children’s books. He won the international Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1962 for his contributions as a children’s writer.
