Margaret Mary Julia (Daisy) Ashford began writing at the age of four, giving dictation to her father. Her most famous novella, The Young Visiters, was published in 1919 with a preface by J.M. Barrie.


The Young Visiters, or Mr Salteena’s Plan (1951)

This Victorian novel was written by its author at the age of nine and became a bestseller when first published in 1919.
