Kenneth B. Murdock

Kenneth Ballard Murdock earned his doctorate at Harvard University. He became a foremost scholar on Early American Literature and dean of the Harvard faculty. In 1949, the Swedish Government awarded him a knighthood in the Royal Order of the North Star. He edited “The Day of Doom” and published many books.

A religious poem that became a best-selling classic in Puritan New England for a century after it was published in 1662.It describes the Day of Judgment, on which a vengeful God judges and sentences all people.
